Dr. Ron Ross, Senior Computer Scientist for NIST, is Keynote Speaker for April’s Session

Reston, Virginia – April 9, 2009 – Today, the SolutionsDevelopers Corporation hosted the April meeting of its 2009 Technology Leadership Roundtable, with keynote speaker Dr. Ron Ross of NIST. The Technology Leadership Roundtable is a monthly invitation-only event, hosted by SolutionsDevelopers, that seeks to bring technology leaders from the DC/Metro area together with both their peers and high-impact guest speakers. The Roundtable provides a forum where commercial and federal technology leaders can discuss business, technology adoption issues, and trends driving information technology decisions.

The event is held in a presentation/roundtable format where industry experts keynote the latest in information technology trends. At the conclusion of the keynote, an open roundtable discussion allows technology leaders to confer on issues with their peers. By sharing best practices, ideas, and experiences, technology leaders are better equipped to overcome obstacles and drive the implementation and integration of new technologies throughout their enterprise.

Today, the Technology Leadership Roundtable welcomed Dr. Ron Ross, Senior Computer Scientist and Information Security Researcher for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), as its April speaker. His current areas of specialization include security requirements definition, testing and evaluation, risk management, and information assurance. Dr. Ross leads the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) implementation project for NIST, which includes the development of key security standards and guidelines for the federal government, support contractors, and the United States critical information infrastructure.

John Gilroy from SolutionsDevelopers facilitates the monthly sessions and moderates the roundtable discussion. John’s an award-winning radio personality and well known platform speaker. For the past 18 years he has appeared on WAMU 88.5 FM as “The Computer Guy” and launched Federal Tech Talk on Federal News Radio 1500 AM.
